Rabiot was born in the Val-de-Marne town of Saint-Maurice. He spent two seasons as a young footballer with Créteil-Lusitanos and a brief period of time with Manchester City. On July 2, 2012, he committed to his first professional contract with Paris Saint-Germain after excelling in the Camp des Loges.
Before the start of the 2012–13 season, manager Carlo Ancelotti elevated Rabiot to the senior team. He started the club’s preseason loss to Barcelona in a penalty shootout, and on August 26, he played his first Ligue 1 match at home in a 0-0 tie with Bordeaux.
With 46 appearances and six goals for PSG between 2013 and 2015, Rabiot helped the team win back-to-back domestic league titles, but he appeared to be on the verge of departing since his mother Véronique functioned as his principal negotiator. He received two yellow cards in the first 29 minutes of his 2015–16 campaign opener against Lille, which the away team ultimately won 1-0.

On November 25, 2015, Rabiot scored his first goal in European competition in a 5-0 victory over Malmö in a
Champions League group match. On March 9, 2016, Rabiot repeated the feat in a 2-1 triumph over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, helping PSG win the match 4-2 on aggregate. He scored in a 9-0 thrashing of Troyes four days later, securing the league title with eight games still to play.
Rabiot was dismissed on April 23, 2016, during a 2-1 victory over Lille in the Coupe de la Ligue championship. He won the national championship in 2017–18 with four goals in 60 games over the following two seasons.
