Alex was ready to set new records at Monmouth College after all of his record-breaking moves in high school. In his sophomore year of 2008, he broke the Monmouth record for most touchdown passes with more than 50.

Chiefs of Kansas City
Alex signed a contract with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in June 2012. On September 1, 2012, he was placed on the disabled list due to a finger injury.
Cowboys of Dallas
He was hired to the Cowboys’ roster after being benched for a year. On August 4, 2013, Alex took over the entire second half of the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio.
He appeared in five preseason games in 2013 before being released on August 30, 2013. He was also added to the Cowboys’ eight-man practice squad.
