Jefferson was named second-team All-USA by USA Today as a senior in 2012 after averaging 19.9 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game.

Jefferson averaged 20.8 points per game and led his team to the NBPA Top 100 Camp in 2011. At the 2011 Adidas Nations, he averaged 19.4 points and 7.0 rebounds.

This season, Jefferson led his team Duke to the NCAA Championship. He also took the gilded victory over other teams like Louisville and North Carolina.

With seven rebounds and three blocks, he led the team to a victory over Wisconsin in the 2015 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship Game.

Injury Update for 2015-2016

He missed the final 27 games for the first time in his career due to a right foot injury. The injury, however, turned out to be a fracture in his right foot.

Early Professional Career and NBA Draft
