Career in College
Brown attended Stanford from 2010 to 2015. Brown had to take a medical redshirt in his true junior season of 2012–2013 because of a hip condition.
In his redshirt junior season of 2013–14, he averaged 12.3 points and 5.0 rebounds a game while shooting 47.5 percent from the field, 45.3 percent from beyond the arc, and 78.5 percent from the line on free throws.He was chosen as the Pac-12’s Most Improved Player during the Cardinal’s NCAA Tournament run to the Sweet 16.
As a senior, Brown led Stanford to the NIT championship while averaging 14.8 points (eighth in the Pac-12), a team-high 6.9 rebounds (8th), and 2.5 assists per game.
He had the eighth-best free-throw percentage in the Pac-12, at 79.4 percent. On June 25, 2015, the Los Angeles Lakers selected Brown with the 34th overall pick in the NBA Draft. On July 9, the shooting guard committed to the group.He made his Lakers debut on October 30 in a loss to the Sacramento Kings, scoring five points while playing off the bench.
During his rookie year, he was frequently reassigned to the Los Angeles D-Fenders, a D-League team for the Lakers. He was let go by the Lakers on October 24, 2016.
