George Murdoch is a professional wrestler, actor, and political pundit who goes by the ring names Brodus Clay or Tyrus. As a renowned wrestler for World Wrestling Entertainment, he is well known.
Childhood,Family And Education
On February 21, 1973, George Murdoch, the father of Brodus Clay or Tyrus, was 19 years old and his mother was 15 years old. He was raised in an unstable, violent home. His father once struck Clay, seriously damaging his eye.
Los Angeles County, California’s Quartz Hill High School was where Brodus Clay studied. Murdoch enrolled in Antelope Valley College after that. Last but not least, he pursued teacher training at the University of Nebraska at Kearny.

He was a collegiate football player, but after surgery for an appendix rupture, he developed a limp and his career was over.
It’s interesting to note that Brodus Clay served as Snoop Dogg’s bodyguard. However, a lot of people believe that he obtained it due to his imposingly enormous size.
How did He Start Wrestling Career?
For Brodus, who started wrestling in 2006 at the age of 33, it wasn’t a recent beginning. World Wrestling Entertainment was the recipient of his initial contract (WWE).
Murdoch was given a job in the WWE’s Deep South Wrestling zone, which is a development area (DSW). He made his professional debut in September 2006.
G-Rilla was his original ring moniker. He had a street thug’s mannerisms. In his first match, he prevailed over his opponent, Big Bully Douglas.
G-Rilla joined the Urban Attack squad as an enforcer (a heavier individual who typically comes in second in a bout) after a few battles when he used his spectacular street flair. Two additional wrestlers, Eric Perez and Sonny Siaki, made up the club.
Later, his animosity toward The Bag Lady prevented them from competing against The Major Brothers for the DSW Tag Team Championship.
But finally, the Urban Attack took home the title. However, his feud persisted, and the other members of Urban Attacks expelled him as a result.
WWE Feuds and Fights
G-Rilla started targeting the Urban Assult during matches after being insultingly expelled from the gang, and he eventually defeated them in a bout. He collaborated on that with Freakin Deacon, an old foe.
The two went on to appear in a variety of other films, including those by Robert Anthony, Johnny Curtis, Shawn Osborne, Afa Jr., and the Samoan Fight Club. The team disbanded, though, when Freakin Deacon suffered a nervous breakdown.
In the realm of wrestling by 2007, G-Rilla was a well-known figure. At the inaugural Florida Championship Wrestling event, Murdoch made his debut and defeated Shawn Osborne. The Battle Royal was ultimately won by him.

He rose to the top of the field for the FCW South Heavyweight Championship as a result of his victory. He was disqualified, though, and went on to lose the title to Harry Smith, the reigning champion.
Smith and Hart continued to engage in poke bouts with G-Rilla. Together with Ted DiBiase and TJ Wilson, the Smith and Hart combo established a team. Osborne, Jake Hager, and Afa Jr. joined forces with G-Rila as well. In 2008, his contract with the WWE expired, and he was discharged.
Return to the WWE
In 2010, Brodus Clay re-signed with the WWE. He was thereafter delivered to the FCW. Brodus collaborated with The Uso Brothers, Tamina, and Donny Marlow under the alias G-Rilla.
In May 2010, he changed his stage name to Brodus Clay, which was inspired by Snoop Dogg’s real name, Calvin Cordozar Broadus. He joined forces with Donny Marlow under this alias, and the two formed The Colossal Connection.

Their team attempted to challenge Los Aviadores to win the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship, but they were unsuccessful. For his fight against JTG in the WWE home show, Clay made an appearance.

NXT and Alberto Del Rio
Clay made his WWE NXT debut in December 2010. The NXT’s fourth season was at issue. He earned the chance to choose his own pro in January after triumphing in a four-way elimination.
He picked DiBiase and then went after him. Del Rio momentarily delegated his professional obligations to his manager because he didn’t want to work with him. He left the team for the remainder of the season, though. Clay came in second place in the competition but fell short of Curtis.
Additionally, he served as Del Rio’s bodyguard on RAW and participated in a few matches on his behalf. In order to confront Christian and Edge, he went with Del Rio.
Del Rio brought Brodus with him to WrestleManiaXXVII for his contest with Edge. In May, Clay intervened for Del Rio against Christian in a ladder match, marking their last appearance.
The Funkasaurus (2012 – 2013)
On the Superstars episode, Clay made a comeback to the sport of wrestling, defeating Pat Silva and numerous other competitors over the course of a few weeks.
In January 2012, Clay made a comeback on television as “The Funkasaurus,” a happy-go-lucky funk dancer. His numerous victories on Smackdown and Raw included dancing movies.
Clay participated in the Royal Rumble Match in January 2013 but was defeated by five other wrestlers. He became friends with Tensai, and the two even joined forces to defeat a number of well-known teams, including Primo & Epico.
Team Rhodes Scholars, Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal, etc. Tons of Funk was the tag team’s subsequent name.
The years 2013 and 2014 weren’t great for The Funkasurus. He got into a lot of heated arguments and unwarranted fights. He even attacked his own tag team teammate, Tensai, in a jealous rage. His other friends did not take kindly to this either.
Total Nonstop Wrestling/Impact Wrestling
2014 saw the Total Nonstop Wrestling (TNW) premiere Murdoch/Clay under Tyrus’s new ring moniker. Brodus joined the Ethan Carter camp.
He defeated Shark Boy in the TNW and won his first ever match. Brodus has a fair amount of wins and defeats overall.
In December, he also competed in a match at Tommy Dreamer’s House of Hardcore on the independent circuit. Clay worked out under Robert Strauss but lost to David Arquette and RJ City.
