Cat Zingano: The Tragedy of 2014
In 2014, Zingano experienced the worst tragedy of her life when her husband, Mauricio, committed himself and died at the age of 37.
When Cat learned that she had lost her soul partner, she was left speechless and depressed. In a lengthy, tearful, and heartbreaking letter, Zingano reminisced about his happy memories of Mauricio.
Although Cat likes to think of herself as the toughest woman, she claims that after Mauricio’s suicide, she has been plagued by negative thoughts.
Cat’s life was completely flipped upside down after the tragedy involving her husband’s death. She has also enrolled in a program that promotes mental health and spoken about the warning signals of suicide.
The cause of Mauricio’s suicide is unknown, although an autopsy report determined it was a clear case of suicide. Cat claims that she has now discovered her husband suffers from chronic depression.

The hardest two years of Cat Zingano’s life were 2013 and 2014. She also suffered a knee injury in 2013, which required platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell therapy for both of her knees.
For about a year and a half, she stopped playing sports. Cat lost her husband in 2014, and she was left shattered.
