Formerly playing with the Sydney Kings of the National Basketball League, David Wear Jr. is a retired American professional basketball player (NBL).

In college, he played for both the UCLA Bruins and the North Carolina Tar Heels. He was a member of the National Basketball Association’s Sacramento Kings in 2015. (NBA).

He spent the most of the 2014–2015 season in the NBA Development League after being undrafted in the NBA draft in 2014. (now known as the NBA G League). He did, however, also make a brief NBA appearance with Sacramento.

Before joining Osaka, David played for Baloncesto Fuenlabrada for two seasons in Spain.

High School Career

In 2007 and 2008, David, a student from Santa Ana, California’s Mater Dei High School, won the state championship of the California Interscholastic Federation twice.

Wear had great success during his high school years. In 2009, the athlete was selected to the fourth team of Parade All-Americans and was awarded county boys’ basketball player of the year.

He also repeated as a member of the first team all-county, first team all-Division I-AA, first team all-league, and second team all-state in 2009.

In 2007, the athlete was a sophomore all-state selection. Wear was also ranked as the No. 59 player overall and No. 16 power forward in 2009.

College Career

Wear was a freshman with the North Carolina Tar Heels, who are now the national champions. The guy contributed 2.9 points and 1.7 rebounds while playing more than 10 minutes per game.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) tournament did not feature the North Carolina Tar Heels, disappointing its supporters.

After the season, he transferred to UCLA in May 2010. The following season, he was given a redshirt because of NCAA transfer regulations.

UCLA won the Pac-12 Conference championship in 2012–13. However, after the season, UCLA coach Ben Howland was ousted, forcing David to explore transferring.

Further, David got the Irv Pohlmeyer Memorial Trophy for being the team’s top defensive player at the team’s annual banquet following the 2013–14 season.

D-League and NBA

David joined the Chicago Bulls for the 2014 NBA Summer League after going undrafted in the 2014 NBA draft. He joined the Sacramento Kings on September 25, 2014.

However, on October 19, 2014, David was released by the Kings. On November 2, 2014, he was acquired as an affiliate player by the Reno Bighorns.

Wear’s shooting ability enabled him to thrive in Coach David Arseneault Jr.’s run-and-gun approach.

As a result, he was asked to partake in the Three-Point Contest during the 2015 D-League All-Star Weekend.

Davis signed a 10-day deal with the Sacramento Kings on March 23, 2015. Unfortunately, he was not retained by the Kings when his 10-day contract expired on April 2.

Similarly, the athlete also competed in the Orlando Summer League with the Detroit Pistons and the Las Vegas Summer League with the Sacramento Kings in July 2015.
