After so many mediocre years, he eventually achieved his first triple-double in an Oklahoma City Thunder game against the Sacramento Kings in 2008.

Similar to how 2008 can be regarded as Earl’s best year in terms of his career, that year saw him rack up 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in just 32 minutes.

Since it was Seattle’s first triple-double since 2004, it was very significant for Watson. After 2008, he was unable to accomplish anything for his career other than join other teams.

He played for several teams between 2009 and 2014, including the Indiana Pacers, Utah Jazz, and Portland Trail Blazers, but none of them could provide him the level of exposure he desired.

The Suns won their first game of that season shortly after Watson was named head coach in 2016, and he also defeated Memphis, the final team he played for, in another game.

Sun again made the decision to retain Watson as their head coach for the upcoming campaign in light of his outstanding winning run.

Sadly, Watson’s 2018 campaign might be productive. The Suns had the worst record in their history after three games, losing all three and failing to win any of them.

As a result, the Suns dismissed Watson in 2018 and replaced him with Jay Triano.
