When the Seattle Supersonics selected Big Baby with the 35th overall pick in 2007, he was given the opportunity to play for the Celtics in the Summer League.

While still enrolled in classes at LSU, he had hired an agent to act as his representative for the draft.

As many players had left the Celtics, Davis anticipated receiving a lot of playing time during his debut season. Despite playing forward during the regular season, he was given the opportunity to play a backup center position.

In his first game, the Celtics defeated the Sacramento Kings 90-78 thanks to his 16.0 points and 9.0 rebounds.

He set a new record in 2013 while playing for the Philadelphia 76ers, tallying 35.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists.

Davis re-signed with the Clippers for a year in 2014.
