Career Development
Gregorio Paltrinieri set a new record after breaking several others in 2013. Even in the 800 m and 1500 m freestyle, he set a new world record at the 2014 European Aquatics Championships.
Following that, he became world champion at the 2014 FINA World Swimming Championships (25 m) in Doha.
At the 2015 World Aquatics Championships in Kazan, he won silver in the 800-meter freestyle and gold in the 1500-meter freestyle.
