James Ennis III was born to James Ennis and Denise Taylor in Ventura, California, on July 1, 1990. James Alfred Ennis III was his given name at birth.

The small forward basketball player was named Player of the Month for the month of October, and on November 30, 2013, he beat the Cairns Taipans with a season-high 33 points.
