Josh Howard was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on April 28, 1980. Nancy Henderson is the name of his mother. Kevin Robinson is also the name of his father.
Having legs that curled inward at birth, Howard wasn’t a healthy infant. The physicians shattered and reset his leg bones at his mother’s request so that they grew straight.

Career in College
Due of Wake Forest’s close proximity to his family and friends, the player selected it over a number of other universities in 1999. He majored in sociology and minored in global studies.
Josh started all but two of the 36 games he played in during his first season. He finished fourth in the squad with 9.1 points per game and led the team with 44 steals.

Career in Professional Basketball
Howard was chosen by the Dallas Mavericks in the opening round of the 2003 NBA Draft. (Completely 29th).
In addition to averaging 6.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game, the athlete achieved career highs in scoring (15.6 points) and three-point field goal percentage (.429) in 2005-06. He was only able to play in 59 games, though, owing to an injury.
On February 13, 2010, Josh was part of a deal that sent Brendan Haywood, Caron Butler, and DeShawn Stevenson to the Washington Wizards in exchange for James Singleton, Drew Gooden, and Quinton Ross.
Josh underwent surgery on March 16 of that year after tearing his ACL on February 22 against the Chicago Bulls. The player was expected to miss 6 to 8 months of action.
Josh and the Utah Jazz signed a one-year, $3 million contract on December 15, 2011. Likewise, on November 15, 2012, Howard made the decision to sign a veteran’s minimum one-year contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The ‘Marijuana’ Incident: Josh Howard
Just hours before Game 3 of the Mavericks’ first-round series against the New Orleans Hornets in April 2008, Josh admitted to smoking marijuana off-season to Michael Irvin on ESPN Radio 103.3 FM.
Additionally, the player stated that Josh did not believe that being randomly tested by the NBA would prevent him from performing his job because he would not smoke during the season regardless.
