Justin was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the 15th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. He and Harry Giles were exchanged for Zach Collins by the Sacramento Kings on draft day. Similar to that, the player and the Kings reached an agreement on a four-year, $13.5 million rookie-scale contract on July 8, 2017.
On October 26, 2018, the Kings decided to execute Justin’s $3.3 million club option for the 2019–20 campaign.
On February 6, 2019, Justin and Zach Randolph were moved to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Harrison Barnes after spending a season with the Kings.
