Allyson had to spend a week in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) after having a difficult delivery; only then was she permitted to return home.

Thankfully, the baby girl was born healthy and without any complications.

Despite her awful experience, she has no intention of stopping at just one child.

Nike was forced to give a response once her voice hit a certain pitch in order to resolve the situation. Come on, they are a multi-billion dollar corporation; they must find a way to maintain the brand’s reputation.

In response, Nike modified its regulations slightly on May 24th, 2019.

According to the new guideline, no athlete will ever face financial consequences for being pregnant.

Allyson wasn’t happy despite the improvements to the policies. She made the decision to switch from Nike to Athleta, a clothing company that focuses on women.
