Biography

Konstantin Khabensky and his family moved to Nizhnevartovsk in 1981, where he stayed four years. In 1985, the family returned to Leningrad. After graduating from high school No. 486, he went to the Technical College of Aviation Instrument Engineering and Automation, but after three years there, he concluded that this was not the career for him.

Khabensky’s students at the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music, and Cinema (Veniamin Filshtinsky’s course) included Mikhail Porechenkov, Andrei Zibrov, and Mikhail Trukhin. After playing as Estragon in Samuel Beckett’s play Waiting for Godot for his final exam, Konstantin graduated in 1995.
