Lance Mountain, a well-known figure skater, was born in Pasadena, California, on June 13, 1964.

The artist was born to British citizens Patricia Mountain and Ronald VJ. He has a younger sister named Ronnamay and an older brother named Bonnie.

Though he no longer skates, his older brother was formerly a skateboarder as well.

Lance was first introduced to skateboarding by a friend. His friend Enrique Esparza handed him his board in 1975, and that was the beginning of everything.

Back then, the skating world was limited to just five tricks. The kid skater learned everything from his friends and the media.

In contrast to other skaters who could avoid injuries, Lance frequently had accidents. He was injured three times as a child.

As a result, his parents prevented him from skating. On the other hand, he continued moving without stopping.

He was also brought up in a strict Christian home. He didn’t use drugs or smoke, in contrast to other kids.

And He was usually disregarded by the more experienced skaters as a result. He nevertheless continued to practice in the parks in spite of that.

He frequently frequented the skate parks in Lakewood, Marina, and Montebello between 1976 and 1980.
