Lynda Bethridge, Dame Topp, better known as Lynda Topp, is a writer, actress, and singer from New Zealand. She is well known in New Zealand for being one-half of the musical comedy duet known as the Topp Twins, which also includes her twin sister Jools Topp. Alongside her sister, she has performed live comedy and music shows, as well as on television and in movies, for decades.
Both Lynda Topp had previously enlisted in the New Zealand Territorial Force and spent six weeks stationed at the Burnham Military Camp outside of Christchurch. In the 2018 Queen’s Birthday Honours, Lynda and her sister were both named Dames Companions of the New Zealand Order of Merit. When they were five years old, they started singing together for other people. In addition, Lynda plans to run for Ashburton District Council in the local elections of 2022.

The first time Lynda Topp opened her eyes was on May 14, 1958, in Huntly, New Zealand. As a result of this experience, they used Jool’s personal account of his treatment and recovery to raise money for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation by included it in a Topp Twins stage play that toured New Zealand.
Lynda Topp began her career with her sister as the duo Topp Twins, playing country and folk songs with harmonies frequently to increase people’s social awareness.
