She made her WNBA debut against the Chicago Sky, scoring 27 points, the second-highest debut for any rookie, trailing only Candice Parker.

International Career Opportunities

Napheesa spent the offseason with the Lattes Montpellier in France. Her team defeated Charleville-Mezières in the Coupe de France Finale, which was held in Paris. The athlete played 36 minutes, scoring 12 points and grabbing eight rebounds.

She returned to the Lynx for the 2021 season after finishing her season overseas, but she had to sit out three games due to Covid-19 protocols. Her absence had an immediate impact on the Minnesota team’s performance.
