Shabazz Muhammad is an American professional basketball player who played for the Chinese Basketball Association’s Shenzhen Aviators (CBA). He was the 14th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, and he later played a single season for the UCLA Bruins and college basketball.
He attended Bishop Gorman High School, where he was named Mr. Basketball USA and Naismith Prep Player of the Year in his senior year. He was also named one of the top college basketball recruits in the 2012 class. He earned All-American honors with UCLA after just one season and was named to the Pac-12’s all-conference first team. He was later named Pac-12 co-Freshman of the Year.
