She began receiving ballet lessons when she was young and attended the Elmhurst Ballet School and then the Central School of Speech and Drama.

In 1981, she starred in the British-Hong Kong horror film ‘Inseminoid’ and in her first American film, ‘Sphinx’. She subsequently played Helen Curtiss in the French telefilm ‘La guerre des insectes’ and Annette Dorberg in the German feature film ‘Ich bin dein Killer’ (1982).
