Harris is a superb athlete who can blitz up the middle and run sideline to sideline against the run. Likewise, the player is also skilled in coverage, thanks to his high school experience as a defensive back.

We can say that Christian is a linebacker with length and explosiveness who is gifted athletically. He is a contemporary player who possesses both the desirable physical characteristics and leadership skills.

Christian Harris | Family & Early Years

Christian, an NFL athlete, was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on January 16, 2001. Ramona Harris is his mother, while Jefferson Harris is his father.

Likewise, with a throw of 38.70 meters, the athlete placed fourth in the discus competition at the Coastal Carolina Invitational.

The athlete’s shot put distance at the Hilton Garden Invitational in 2013 Indoor was 16.27 meters.

Tylor had a significant influence on Christian, his younger brother.

Christian Harris | Education and Career

Unlike Tylor, who chose to attend Episcopal School, Christian made the decision to enroll at University Lab on the LSU campus.

The residents of Baton Rouge expect that the city’s top athletes will stay put to represent the Tigers.

That only gets worse when they dress in Tiger Stadium’s shadows. However, there was more to Christian’s tale.

Christian played wide receiver and defensive back for University Lab, but it soon became apparent that he was better suited to play linebacker.

That transition was initially brought up at a Louisiana-Lafayette camp before his sophomore year.

Jefferson, Christian’s father, watched as Christian was separated from the other receivers during a drill by Mark Hudspeth, a former head coach at ULL.

In high school, Christian played cornerback and wide receiver. The athlete participated in the 2019 All-American Bowl.

Christian had made a commitment to play college football at Texas A&M University before moving to the University of Alabama.

Career in College

Harris didn’t play linebacker in high school, but he was one when he enrolled at Alabama in 2019 as a true freshman.

He was a starter to start the season, starting 12 of the 13 games, recording 63 tackles, and being named Freshman All-SEC.

For his sophomore season in 2020, Harris returned as a starter.

On January 17, 2022, he declared his intention to enter the NFL Draft.

The Scouting Report by Christian Harris

At the NFL Scouting Combine, when he visited with a number of teams, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, Harris performed admirably. Additionally, based on test results, he scored a 9.05 Relative Athletic Score, which is an analytics rating.

The athlete ran the 40 yards in 4.44 seconds, split the 10.3 yards in 1.53, and leaped 34 1/2 inches in the air.

With 79 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles, Harris had his greatest year yet in 2021 as a key member of one of the best defenses in the nation.

The player has above-average athletic ability, per his scouting report. AFRAIDLESSLY BURSTING LATERALLY OR VERTICALLY, HE MOVES FREELY ACROSS THE FIELD, TAKING IN WHAT’S IN FRONT OF HIM.

Christian can outrun running backs who try to bounce the ball outside of him or run across him, which makes him an effective sealer in the run game as well.

He has the ability to get through blocks and connect with the ball carrier quickly.

NFL Draft | Christian Harris

Harris was taken by the Houston Texans with the 75th overall pick in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, despite Christian being projected to go in the second round.

Despite the fact that Georgia linebacker Nakobe Dean, who many thought would be selected in the first round, didn’t hear his name called until the third round, Harris was still selected before Dean.

ALABAMA’S HARRIS FOLLOWED METCHIE (44th overall, selected by the Houston Texans) AND PHIDARIAN MATHIS AS THE THIRD PLAYER TO BE SELECTED ON DAY TWO OF THE DRAFT (NO. 47, BY WASHINGTON COMMANDERS).

Harris finished with 79 tackles in both his sophomore and junior seasons, increasing his career total to 221.
